On NXT during a commercial, The Miz told John Morrison than John Cena & Bret Hart said they needed him on the team. Miz said he wanted to hear it from John Morrison as well. John said he won’t say it, and he said to prove that they don’t need him, they will have a match on WWE NXT!

Later that night…

Miz is out first followed by John Morrison. They lock up and Miz gets control. Morrison sends Miz off and Miz sends Morrison to the mat. Morrison is up and they stare and lock up again with Morrison getting control taking Miz down with a German suplex. Miz backs Morrison into the corner and elbows him. He sends Morrison and Morrison ducks and hits an arm drag and a drop kick followed by a standing moonsault. Miz takes control and sends Morrison to the mat. He kicks Morrison and sends him to the corner. He misses his corner splash and Morrison gives him a back slide. Miz goes out of the ring and Morrison hops over the ropes for a cross body. Morrison poses and there is a commercial break.

They return from the commercial and Miz is in control with a submission. Morrison breaks out and runs but Miz grabs his hair and slams him down. Miz then gives Morrison a boot and puts him on the ropes and hits him leg first. He goes for a pin and gets a two count on Morrison. Miz goes for his splash again and this time connects and gets a two count. He gives Morrison a couple of forearms and then steps on Morrison’s chest. Miz puts Morrison in yet another submission. Morrison gets up and fights out of it but Miz retaliates and Morrison gets a two count on the Miz. Morrison kicks Miz and Miz returns it. Morrison clotheslines Miz and sends him to the mat with a dropkick. Morrison hits Miz with the kick for a good two count. Morrison goes for another kick but misses and Miz gives Morrison a kick for a two count.

Miz gives Morrison another kick and stars stomping on him. The Miz tries to hit Morrison but Morrison fights out of it and goes for Starship Pain and misses. He goes for a kick and misses and Miz hits him with a Skull Crushing Finale for the win. After Miz taunts Morrison and then celebrates.
